Blessings

Since I started my project management career, I had been taking business trips to other parts of Asia, mostly alone. I always travelled alone, and for most of the cases, had been the only person for on-site.

In times like that, I feel very lonely. I felt lonely because I cannot speak Cantonese to anyone. Or that I have to have every dinner by myself. Or that there is very little news from home, because after all HK is just a small place. Or simply that I am far away from home and my family.

But this last trip to Tokyo was quite different.

My boss took the same flight as me and we were together for the whole trip. He backed me up and helped me out. Then I have 3 to 4 persons having dinner with me everyday. And even as I thought I would be travelling alone on the return flight, I bumped into a colleague who happened to be on the same flight and the sitting on same row.

I thank God for all this: that I don't feel lonely at all this trip.
