I was so glad Monday night about the outcome of the meeting with the senior management...
I did make a remarkable presentation because I went very well prepared.
Normally senior management would ask a lot of piercing questions and drill you down to the last cent or last semantic uncertainty, but that night, I was so prepared that not a single one had any question!!
They even praised me for being very clear and precise, and be able to provid all-rounded information.
Anyway, I was so immersed in my success on Monday that I didn't prepare for the weekly status meeting on the following day.
So, I made a mess of myself: I stutter, I forgot what I was going to say, I was unclear in giving instruction and direction.... Nobody understood me...
A very grim lesson learnt.
And fits just nicely with this old saying, "Pride comes before fall"...
And you see, success comes from a trust and reliance on God's grace. Failure? Our own pride!
